Approval of the objectives and rules governing density of the postal network and minimum services of CTT and information to be made available by CTT

By determination of 28 August 2014, ANACOM has approved the final decision on the objectives of postal network density and minimum services pursuant to paragraph 6 of Base XV of the universal postal service concession.

Simultaneously, a draft decision was adopted concerning the information that CTT - Correios de Portugal (CTT) is now required to disclose and keep up-to-date on its website, within a period of 2 months, on all postal establishments (post offices and postal agencies) in operation, including information on their location, opening hours and the services provided. Interested parties (CTT and users) have been given a period of 15 working days in which to comment.

Approval was also given to the report on the prior hearing of CTT and of users, to which the respective draft decision of 26 June 2014 was submitted. In response to these procedures, contributions were received from ANMP - Associação Nacional de Municípios Portugueses (National Association of Portuguese Muncipalities), APImprensa - Associação Portuguesa de Imprensa (Portuguese Press Association), CTT, Câmara Municipal de Gondomar (Municipal Council of Gondomar) and DECO - Associação Portuguesa para a Defesa do Consumidor (Portuguese Association for Consumer Protection).
