The European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) site is already available in the Internet, which establishment was approved in a Council of Ministers Meeting on Justice and Internal Affaires held on 19 February 2004.
ENISA aims at collaborating in the promotion of cooperation and exchange of information and to comply with the requirements related to network and information security, foreseen in the community legislation, taking into account the growing concerns as far as this domain is concerned.
The Agency will contribute to the development of a network and information security culture, to the benefit of citizens, consumers, companies and public sector entities within the European Union.
