ANACOM's Multi-annual Activities Plan 2024-2026https://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1771722, including its 2024 budget, is now available. The Plan sets out ANACOM's strategic objectives for the three-year period and the principal actions to be accomplished over this period, with emphasis on 2024.
One of the main objectives of the Multi-annual Activities Plan 2024-2026 is to ensure that the entire country obtains maximum benefits, in terms of choice, price, quality and security, from postal and electronic communications services, through active and rigorous regulation which promotes efficient investment, facilitates the sharing of infrastructure and ensures fair and dynamic competition.
ANACOM remains actively committed to ensuring maximum protection of the rights of communications users throughout the country and in particular among those sections of the population that are most vulnerable (economically and geographically), by promoting a regulatory framework which gives priority to information and transparency, and which deters and penalises bad practices.
The Plan was approved following the usual public consultation which was held on the strategic guidelines and actions to be undertaken over for the 2024-2026 three-year period. The report on this consultation was approved on 7 November 2023. This procedure aims to reinforce transparency in the market, increasing regulatory predictability and promoting greater involvement by all stakeholders in the preparation of ANACOM’s Activities Plan.
