ANACOM approved, on 3 March 2022, a draft decision (DD) on the technical harmonisation of the 900 MHz and 1800 MHz frequency bands.
ANACOM will amend the rights of use for frequencies allocated to Dixarobil Telecom (Dixarobil), MEO Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia (MEO), NOS Comunicações (NOS), NOWO Communications and Vodafone Portugal - Comunicações Pessoais (Vodafone), so as to reflect the application of Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/173https://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1716798 of 7 February 2022 on the harmonisation of the 900 MHz and 1800 MHz frequency bands for terrestrial systems capable of providing electronic communications services in the Union.
The DD is now submitted to a prior hearing of stakeholders, Dixarobil, MEO, NOS, NOWO and Vodafone, under the Administrative Procedure Code, as well as to the general consultation procedure, for a period of 20 working days. Stakeholders may send their contributions until 5 April 2022, in writing and in Portuguese, preferably by email to the address harmoniz-900-1800-mhz@anacom.ptmailto:harmoniz-900-1800-mhz@anacom.pt1.
Once the consultation process has been completed, contributions received will be made public, whereby stakeholders are required to send a version with all confidential information removed for the purpose of publication on this website.
