Technical harmonisation of the 900 MHz and 1800 MHz bands

By decision dated 3 March 2022, ANACOM approved the draft decision (DD) on the technical harmonisation of the 900 MHz and 1800 MHz frequency bands, in order to amend the rights of use for frequencies allocated to Dixarobil Telecom (Dixarobil), MEO Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia (MEO), NOS Comunicações (NOS), NOWO Communications and Vodafone Portugal - Comunicações Pessoais (Vodafone), so as to reflect the application of Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2022/173https://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1716798 of 7 February 2022, on the harmonisation of the 900 MHz and 1800 MHz frequency bands for terrestrial systems capable of providing electronic communications services in the Union and repealing Decision 2009/766/EC.

This DD has been submitted to a prior hearing of stakeholders, Dixarobil, MEO, NOS, NOWO and Vodafone, under the Administrative Procedure Code, as well as to the general consultation procedure set out in articles 8 and 33 of the Electronic Communications Lawhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=975162, with a period of twenty working days having been granted, in both cases, for stakeholders to comment, in writing and in Portuguese.
