The reference platform for up-to-date information on infrastructure suitable for carrying electronic communications networks in Portugal, SIC - Sistema de Informação Centralizado (Centralised Information System), has been made available by ANACOM from 14 January 2016.
The SIC is based on the principle of information sharing and reciprocity between electronic communications companies and undertakings in possession of infrastructure suitable for carrying such networks.
As such, the SIC is only accessible to undertakings as provided for under Decree-Law no. 123/2009 of 21 May, which comply with the obligations required for the inclusion of information on the system, such as government bodies, autonomous regions, local authorities, government-supervised entities, state companies and concessionaires, electronic communications companies and sector regulators.
