On the Diário da República of 12 August, the following Resolutions of the Council of Ministers were published, regarding the national framework for the information society:
- Resolution of the Council of Ministers no. 107/2003, that approves the Action Plan for the Information Society, main instrument for the strategic and operational coordination of the policies of the XV Constitutional Government for the development of the information society in Portugal;
- Resolution of the Council of Ministers no. 108/2003, that approves the Action Plan for the Electronic Government;
- Resolution of the Council of Ministers no. 109/2003, that approves the National Initiative for the Broadband (comprising in annex a joint declaration from ANACOM and UMIC)
- Resolution of the Council of Ministers no. 110/2003, that approves the National Program for the Participation of Citizens with Special Needs in the Information Society;
- Resolution of the Council of Ministers no. 111/2003, that approves the National Program for Electronic Purchasing.
