ITU 'Information Society Projects' 2013 - deadline extension

The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has announced that the deadline for the submission of projects to the WSIS Project Prizes 2013, a contest for projects developed and implemented successfully in the area of information technologies (ICT), is to be extended until 31 January 2013.

This will be the second edition of the contest, which is held as part of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) scheduled for May 2013. Open to all interested parties, the contest has eighteen possible project theme categories linked directly to the WSIS Action Lines.

The WSIS Project Prizes 2013 contest is an occasion for the winners to showcase information society projects and also an opportunity to gain recognition for the success achieved in implementing these projects.
