In the context of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) scheduled for May 2013, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is organising the second edition of the WSIS Project Prizes, a competition with prizes awarded to projects developed and implemented successfully in the area of information technologies (ICT).
The competition, open to all interested parties, has eighteen possible categories of project themes, all directly linked to Action Lines of the WSIS. Applications must be submitted no later than 16 December 2012.
The WSIS Project Prizes 2013 provide an opportunity for the winners to showcase the information society projects that they have developed and also an opportunity to recognize the successful execution of these projects.
