PT Supervision/Market Data met last 28-29 October in Stockholm, where among other issues the current status of working group 1 of the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN) on quality of service standards was presented; the standard EN 13850:2009 (“Postal services – Measurement of the transit time of end-to-end services for single piece priority mail and first class”) was also reviewed.
Hybrid mail and its impact on the postal sector were debated, along with the preliminary report on quality of service in the year 2009. Also presented was development from the standpoint of the European Committee for Postal Regulation (CERP) regarding the Universal Postal Union (UPU) topic “Extension of the postal service provision into the internet”.
