Electronic commerce disclosure - FEUP


Electronic Commerce in Portugal - the market, the legal framework and safety in transactions is the subject of one information action that ANACOM is going to promote, on 10 December, in the Engineering Faculty of Porto University (FEUP), at 2:30 p.m.

The session, with an approximate duration of one hour and thirty minutes, is structured as follows: one first part, dedicated to the market, where some concepts related to electronic commerce, the portrait of this reality at national level and, whenever possible, a comparison between the Portuguese situation and the European and worldwide situation are presented; a second part, related to the legal framework, includes the guidelines of the regime contained in Decree-Law no. 7/2004, of 7 January, and discussing the specific aspects of the main intervention domains of this diploma - network service providers, responsibility of the information society service providers, the network advertising communications, spam and contracts concluded by electronic means; and finally, a third part, dedicated to the issue of electronic transactions security.

At the end, ANACOM shall present, in short words, its experience in the exercise of their supervision duties that, within this scope, are allocated to this autority.

This information action is included in the Action Plan to Disclose Information on Electronic Commerce, currently under execution by ANACOM.
