The Independent Regulators Group (IRG) held a plenary meeting last 26 May in Helsinki, where 2011 budget issues were discussed along with new ways of increasing efficiency when organising meetings and debates. The meeting also included an informal gathering, devoted to discussing the possible establishment by the European Commission of a European Regulators Group for Postal Services (ERGP), which issued a favourable opinion.
The next IRG meeting will be held this coming 30 September in Amsterdam.
