By determination of 25 November 2009, ANACOM has given approval to the texts of the final versions of the 2nd edition of the Telecommunications infrastructures in buildings manual (ITED - 2nd edition) and of the 1st edition of the Infrastructures for telecommunications in housing developments, urban settlements and concentrations of buildings manual (ITUR - 1st edition), which enter into force on 1 January 2010.
It was further decided to establish a transition period for the 2nd edition of the ITED Manual until 31 March 2010. During this period, ITED projects which are in accordance with the requirements and specifications of the previous version of the Manual (ITED Manual - 1st edition) will continue to be considered as valid. For such purpose, the date considered shall be the date of entry in the Municipal Councils in cases referenced in article 71 of Decree-Law No. 123/2009 of 21 May, or the project conclusion date, referenced expressly in the statement of responsibilities, in cases references in article 72 (ITED not covered by licensing process or prior notification) of the same Decree-Law.
