ECC WG FM PT22 - Ljubljana

Under the scope of CEPT and organised by the Slovenian administration (Slovenian Post and Telecommunication Agency - APEK), WG FM PT 22 on spectrum monitoring held a meeting last 13-16 October in Ljubljana, attended by 52 delegates representing 25 countries and three organisations.

The meeting agenda counted the following, among other issues: updating of the questionnaire on interference in aeronautic mobile services, to provide Eurocontrol with a broader view of the issue at European level; interference caused by repeaters in GSM/UMTS networks; start of updating of recommendation on non-ionising radiation; practical study of cable networks’ compatibility with mobile services in the 790-862 MHz band; and, primarily, completion of report on measurement campaigns carried out in the 863-870 MHz band (short range devices) whose results will allow evaluation of their occupation. The chairman of this group and representative of the German administration, Ralf Trautmann, was also asked to continue overseeing the work for three more years, which he accepted.

The next meeting of this group will be held in the Czech Republic in April 2010.
