Highlights of the August 2009 edition of the Spectru monthly bulletin include, among others, reports about the third International ANACOM Conference, which will be held this 30 of September, in Lisbon, and about the final drafts of the manuals on technical specifications and requirements for ITED and ITUR. A front page story also provides the most recent developments about the public tenders for the installation, management, operation and maintenance of high speed electronic communication networks in the Alentejo and Algarve, North and Centre of mainland Portugal.

Other highlights include also the approval of a new set of statistical indicators which the mobile service providers must submit to ANACOM every quarter, the publication of the report about the public consultation on the digital dividend, the opening of candidacies for the URSI Research Prize Portugal and the launching of one call for papers in the scope of the third Congress of the Portuguese URSI Committee (both elapsing up to 30 of September) and the approval of the draft decision on the portability questionnaire.
