By determination of 8 April 2009, ANACOM decided not to oppose to the provision by PT Comunicações (PTC) of the ''PT Social'' offer, as it stands. This offer includes a discount by 50%, from April to end December 2009, on the full invoice price of the fixed telephone service, up to €7.50 (including VAT at 20%) per invoice, for all customers who are unemployed for more than six months. The ''PT Social'' offer applies to holders of the PTC fixed telephone service contract for more than six months, and may not be combined with other promotions, campaigns or discounts.
In case the validity of the offer is extended, PTC must ensure that other market operators are able to reproduce it, if necessary by introducing specific measures at wholesale level.
