ANACOM has released the study ''e.iniciativas - study on its take up and impact'', carried out by its Studies and Forecasting Office.
In view of its remit as advisor to the government and monitoring the market by conducting studies on the development of the information society, ANACOM has taken the initiative of carrying out a study with the main objective of examining the impact of e.iniciativas (encompassing the measures taken under the e.oportunidades, e.escola and e.professor initiatives, which the Government launched in June 2007 as part of the Ligar Portugal (Connect Portugal) programme). It also aims to evaluate related policies in respect of the take up and use of communication technologies (including broadband), enabling the identification of measures that can be taken to further improve the project.
