Brussels hosted last 10 December the 33rd meeting of the Communications Committee (COCOM). Highlights included discussion of the proposed recommendation on harmonised regulation of termination charges in the European Union and the proposed recommendation on regulated access to next generation networks. Also considered were the procedures under Article 7 of the Framework Directive and candidate numbers in the ''116'' numbering range. The terms of reference for various subgroups were also revised.
The next COCOM meeting is scheduled for this coming 18 February.
