The Croatian city of Dubrovnik served as venue last 17-19 June for the 9th meeting of ECC TG4, with the main goal of organising and determining the group's future work in the wake of the second European Commission mandate regarding the digital dividend.
The work will be carried out in three drafting groups: the first will be responsible for producing a report on definition of the policy/regulatory grounds for the establishment of minimum and common technical conditions for use of the 790-862 MHz sub-band by electronic communication networks (ECNs); the second will produce a report/recommendation on the best way to ensure continued use of the 470-862 MHz band by emitting microphones for programme making and special events (PMSE); the third will continue to be responsible for developing guidelines for the implementation of mobile services in the 790-862 MHz sub-band.
Agreement was also reached at the meeting on the frameworks of the two new reports this group will produce.
