Declaration of Entities with Significant Market Power

On 2 March 2000, upon the decision of ICP's Board of Directors, entities with significant market power were declared for the purposes of the Regulations for the Exploitation of the Fixed Telephone Service (Decree-Law no. 474/99 of 8 November) and the Regulations for the Exploitation of Public Telecommunication Networks (Decree-Law no. 290-A/99 of 30 July).

The concessionaire, Portugal Telecom, SA, has been declared an entity with significant market power on the fixed telephone network market and/or fixed telephone service market, and shall thus be subject to various obligations as set out in the Regulations for the Exploitation of the Fixed Telephone Service.
