Rights of use for frequencies in the 450-470 MHz band (consultation)

By determination of 4 October 2007, approval was granted to a draft decision that includes the following measures: (i) to limit to one the number of rights of use for frequencies granted in the 450-470 MHz band, for the provision of the land mobile service (LMS) available to the public; (ii) to define that the allocation procedure for this right of use for frequencies shall take the form of a public tender; (iii) to provide for the allocation of individual rights of use for frequencies, in the 450-470 MHz band, for the provision of the LMS available to the public, at the request of providers of the mobile service with shared resources (MSSR), at the end of the referred public tender, without prejudice to the compliance of MSSR operators with determinations issued by ANACOM in the scope of ongoing procedures; and (iv) to accordingly amend the provisions of the National Frequency Allocation Plan (NFAP).

This draft decision was submitted to the general consultation procedure. Interested parties have been requested to send the respective contributions in writing, within 20 working days, clearly identifying any content regarded as confidential.
