ECTA Broadband Scorecard Q3 2006, ECTA, February 2007

Summary: This report, which refers to the second and third quarters of 2006, brings together a range of statistical data on the situation regarding broadband penetration and local loop unbundling (LLU) throughout the 25 Member-Sates of the EC.

Among the main results, it reports that the number of broadband connections in the 25 EC Member-Sates continued to grow, with an increase of 14% recorded between the first and third quarters of 2006, from a total of around 64 million to 73 million. This rate of growth does, however, represent a slowdown from the 23% growth rate that was recorded during the same period of 2005.
