Summary: This report shows the main statistical results of the survey on the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) by Portuguese families, conducted by the Instituto Nacional de Estatística (INE - National Statistical Institute) in cooperation with UMIC - Agência para a Sociedade do Conhecimento (Knowledge Society Agency), between April and May 2006. Among other aspects, this report analyses the use of computers and of the Internet by Portuguese households, assessing the user profile associated to each of these aspects, as well as the use of electronic commerce.
