Summary: This European Commission's report presents the main results of the survey on the use of mobile communications abroad, under the viewpoint of the international roaming service, by European citizens, conducted in the 25 Member States of the European Union (EU), in September and October 2006.
Among the main conclusions, the study reveals that most Europeans thinks that the high roaming tariffs are the main barrier to the use of mobile phones abroad, considering also that a community intervention is needed/necessary in order to decrease the roaming costs practiced in the EU.
