OCG ECN&S Group - Paris

The offices of the French regulator (ARCEP) hosted on 11 January in Paris the 12th meeting of the Operational Co-ordination Group - Electronic Communications Networks and Services (OCG ECN&S) of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI).

This was the first meeting of this group in which ANACOM was represented, so as to take part in the European Commission consultation on revision of the regulatory framework for electronic communications - ?2006 Review? - with regard to article 17 of the Framework Directive. The main topics of this consultation concern definition of ?interoperability?. ANACOM?s contribution was to advise that future standardization work carried out for electronic communications should involve the Independent Regulators Group (IRG).
