The 19th meeting of the Information Society working party (WP IE) of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) was held on 8-9 December 2005.
The meeting focused on the dissemination of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in companies, ICT's role in restructuring overall value chains and responsibilities and employment in ICTs. The topics of broadband digital content and the next edition of Information Technology Outlook were also considered.
Delegations from all the member States, European Union observers and the Business and Industry Advisory Committee (BIAC) took part in the meeting, along with specialists from the digital content distribution sector.
