Study Group - SG 1 (Spectrum Management) - Geneva

The working group on Spectrum Engineering Techniques (WP1A) met on 26-30 September 2005 in Geneva, Switzerland.

Recommendation ITU-R SM.1541, concerning limits on emissions outside band, was revised at this meeting and some contributions were used to update the report on the impact of power line communication (PLC) systems in radiocommunication services; the preparation of a recommendation on this point was begun. The band from 275 to 3000 GHz was considered and preferential bands were introduced for amateur services above 275 GHz. Recommendation ITU-R SM.328-10 was also revised, specifically with the introduction of a new definition for the occupied bandwidth of M-ary PSK signals.
