ECC PT SE7 - Maisons-Alfort

/ Updated on 30.08.2006
PT SE7 (issues concerning land mobile service) met in Maisons-Alfort, France, on 20-22 September 2005, with nearly 30 participants attending. The group had to interrupt work on the topic of methods of cross-border co-ordination for mobile service, as the available new version of the SEAMCAT® (Spectrum Engineering Advanced Monte Carlo Analysis Tool) still has some problems. This subject, along with the use of land mobile service terminals (GSM, UMTS, among others) on board aircraft and the introduction of TETRA TEDS (TETRA Enhanced Data Service) in the 400 MHz and 900 MHz bands, comprise the three issues mandated to the group.

Regarding the use of GSM mobile terminals on board aircraft, the situations to study were finalised, along with the key parameters. Both the MCL calculations and simulations of the SEAMCAT® tool can thus begin.
