The 18th meeting of the working party on the Information Economy (WP IE) met on 9-10 June. The policies for digital content and public sector digital content were some of the main agenda topics at the meeting.
Also discussed were summaries of the studies on broadband digital content (online computer games, music, content for mobile devices and research publications) and future work in this context.
Participants in the meeting also considered the summary of the peer reviews on the dissemination of information and communication technologies (ICTs) in enterprises and the future approach to the reorganisation of global value chains (a subject which includes a panel debate on international outsourcing, with guest speakers), ICT employment and qualifications and, lastly, the Information Technology Outlook 2005.
