2nd Joint RSC/ TCAM Meeting - Brussels

/ Updated on 01.08.2006

The second joint meeting of the Spectrum Committee (RSC) and the Telecommunications Conformity Assessment and Market Surveillance Committee (TCAM) was held on 9 March 2005. The aim was to exchange views and debate a number of matters common to both committees.

The current status of topics related to spectrum harmonisation which are being studied in RSC and TCAM was reviewed, for example in the area of radio local area networks (RLANs) and ultra wide band (UWB). It was concluded that these committees? interrelation was taking place satisfactorily.

Other aspects were debated with a view to future work, such as a more accessible and complete way to provide information on spectrum usage in each country. Also discussed was the possibility of allowing the introduction of equipment that enables the realisation of large-scale pilot tests/experiments.
