The seminar ?Towards High Speed Mobile Data Services? on the development of mobile communications, is going to be held in Brussels, at the Albert Borschette Conference Centre, on 11 June, with the participation of the Commissioner Erkki Liikanen.
The aim of this seminar is to discuss the main challenges and barriers that the development of mobile networks and services face, namely regarding the data services, focusing on the following subjects: research&development and interoperability, contents and applications, security patterns, public policies and debate on the market. The results of this seminar shall be used by the European Commission in the Communication which is being prepared on this subject.
Still regarding the mobile communications, an event was held in Brussels on the 8th of June to launch applications and services for mobile users and workers, in which Mr. Erkki Liikanen identified the perspectives and the main challenges that the sector faces.
