A report regarding the study QoS - GSM-Survey on Quality of Service of Mobile Networks has been published based on collected measurements in the field by the Instituto das Comunicações de Portugal (ICP) from 16 April to 27 June 2001. The land mobile service operators - TMN, TELECEL and OPTIMUS - as well as DECO (Portuguese Consumer Defence Association) were involved in the definition of the methodology adopted, and accompanied the fieldwork.
Contrary to what happened in 2000, this study, which is being presented to the public today, not only focused on the service provided in Portugal, but also that in the autonomous regions of the Azores and Madeira.
