Vacancy for an Executive Director with the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) subject to tender


A tender is open for the submission of applications for an Executive Director vacancy within the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA), which mandate is of five years. The main objective of the Agency is to assist and advise the European Commission and the Member-states on issues related to   network and information security, thus contributing to ensure the good operation of the internal market.

Among other requirements of the position, the applicant must have a university degree and at least 15 years? work experience, preferably in a relevant field for the mission of the Agency, of which at least five should be in management, good knowledge regarding network and information security issues and EU policies in this field, experience in financial and budgetary management, good written and oral communication skills and fluency in at least one of the EU official languages and sufficient knowledge of at least another one.  Candidates must be citizens of an EU Member-state or citizens of one of the following countries which will join the EU soon:  Czech Republic, Cyprus, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia.

The Agency will be headquartered in a Greek city, to be decided by the Greek Government.
