Conference on e-business


Through ANACOM?s initiative, a conference on ?E-Business in Portugal - legal framework and business? was held last 30th March, at Culturgest (Lisbon), attended by approximately 1,500 people, having a panel of speakers that included the Minister of Justice, the Secretary of State of Economy as well as the manager of UMIC (Innovation and Knowledge Mission Unit), academics and representatives of the business sector. 

This conference contributed to promote a large debate on the legal and business framework of this distribution channel, informing about the current situation of e-business in Portugal, discussing subjects such as the virtues and omission of the new legislation, loyal competition among digital agents, proprietary rights, spam, as well as governmental projects in the field of e-business, namely the buying portal and the issue of taxation in the Internet.
