Approval of the draft regulation regarding the provision of information on the location of callers to the Public Security Answering Point

By decision of 01 March 2024, ANACOM has approved a draft regulation on the provision of information about the location of callers to the Public Security Answering Point.

It was decided to submit this draft regulation to the regulatory and public consultation procedures, as under article 10 of ANACOM's Statuteshttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1351851 and article 10 of LCE - Lei das Comunicações Eletrónicas (Electronic Communications Law)https://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1737530.

The draft regulation will be published in the 2nd series of Diário da República (Official Journal). Subsequent to publication, interested parties are given a period of 30 working days to send contributions, in writing and in Portuguese, preferably by email to regulamento.localizacao@anacom.ptmailto:regulamento.localizacao@anacom.pt.
