Methodology for assessing compliance with the obligations related to the RURS allocated in the 5G auction, the Dense Air RURS and the MEO and Vodafone RURS in the 900 MHz and 1800 MHz bands
By decision of 25 July 2023, ANACOM approved a draft decision on the methodology for assessing compliance with the obligations related to the rights of use for the radio spectrum (RURS) allocated under the 5G Auction Regulation, the RURS of Dense Air Portugal (Dense Air) and the RURS of MEO - Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia (MEO) and Vodafone Portugal - Comunicações Pessoais (Vodafone) in the 900 MHz and 1800 MHz bands, following the renewal of rightshttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1681822.
The draft decision also includes amendments to the annual questionnaire (concerning information on coverage, quality of service and implementation of the site sharing policy in the context of rights of use for frequencies for terrestrial electronic communications services) and information reporting obligations.
This draft decision was subject to a prior hearing of the interested parties, Digi Portugal, Dense Air, MEO, NOS Comunicações, NOWO Communications and Vodafone, in accordance with the provisions of the Code of Administrative Procedure, as well as to the public consultation procedure provided for in article 10 of the Electronic Communications Lawhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1737530, and in both cases interested parties were given a period of 30 working days to express their views in writing and in Portuguese.
