Allocation of rights of use for numbers to Sumamovil Portugal
On 7 March 2022, the Director-General for Regulation, in the exercise of the powers delegated by ANACOM’s Board of Directors, as provided for in point i) of paragraph 6 of Determination No 753/2021https://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1678761, published on 16 July in Series II (Part E) of the Official Gazette, decided to allocate rights of use for numbers to Sumamovil Portugal (SUMA) as follows:
- the numbers “1656(z)” in the “16xy(z)” range exclusively for the provision of customer support;
- the numbers “92950xxxx to 92959xxxx” in the “92" range exclusively for the provision of the mobile phone service;
- the numbers “6092950xxxx to 6092959xxxx” and “6692950xxxx to 6692959xxxx” in the “6092” and “6692” ranges respectively, for exclusive use to access the voicemail service for checking and recording messages, respectively;
- the “6392950xxxx to 6392959xxxx” and “6592950xxxx to 6592959xxxx” numbers, respectively in the “6392” and “6592” ranges, exclusively for access to mobile services, respectively fax and data services;
- the “07” numbers corresponding to the Mobile Network Code (MNC), in the format MCC-MNC-MSIN, where the Mobile Country Code (MCC) is 268 (Portugal) and the Mobile Subscription Identification Number (MSIN) as defined in Recommendation ITU-T E.212;
- the numbers “14-00-33” and “14-00-34” corresponding to the National Signalling Point Codes (NSPC), exclusively for national addressing in signalling No 7 for identification of points on the company’s own national signalling network;
- the “022” numbers corresponding to the company code (P1P2P3), which is part of Network Routing Number(s) (NRN), exclusively for routing communications to ported numbers.
SUMA is now subject to compliance with the conditions of use set out in article 37 of ECL, namely to use the numbers allocated exclusively for the purpose for which they are intended; to respect the principles and criteria for the management and allocation of numbering resources approved by ANACOM on 2 June 1999, and others which ensure compliance with the condition of effective and efficient use and which may be set by ANACOM in implementation of the Electronic Communications Law.
ANACOM also decided to waive the prior hearing of stakeholders, pursuant to point f) of paragraph 1 of article 124 of the Administrative Procedure Code.
