EMERG - ANACOM Presidency 2021 organises series of webinars


Under the Portuguese presidency of the European Mediterranean Regulators Group (EMERG)http://www.emergonline.org/, held by ANACOM this year, a series of webinars is being conducted, provided by experts from EMERG members on various matters relevant to the regulatory authorities of the member countries.

The first webinar took place on 2 December. It was organised by the Spanish regulator (David Suárez, CNMC) on the theme “Demand side data: The CNMC Household Panel” and had 23 participants from CNMC, ANACOM, CRA (Bosnia and Herzegovina), EETT (Greece), ANRT (Morocco) and NTR (Egypt).

The next webinars will be conducted by the Portuguese regulator (Paulo Serra of ANACOM's Directorate-General for Supervision) on 15 December, on the topic “NET.mede tool”, and by the Turkish regulator (Mehmet Alper Tekin, BTK), on 20 December, on the theme “Turkish consumer protection regulations under development to tackle new challenges arising from rapid uptake of new telecommunications/ICT services”.

On the part of ANACOM, the following topics will also be presented:

  • “International connectivity: challenges and opportunities” (Luís Manica, from the Of-fice of External Relations and Development ), in 2022;
  • “Regulated access offers to poles and ducts” (João Gonçalves, from the Directorate-General for Regulation), also in 2022.
