The ANACOM Regulation Report concerning activities in 2002 is now available, as stipulated in the respective Statutes approved by Decree-Law no. 309/2001 of 7 Decemberhttps://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=974442.
This publication stems from statutory provisions that envisage the drawing up of an annual report on ANACOM?s regulatory activities, to be submitted to the Government also for presentation to Parliament (section 1 of article 51), and of a report on the situation of communications and the regulation and oversight thereof, for each year, which should be publicly released by the most appropriate means (paragraph d) of article 26).
As the first of its kind, the 2002 Regulation Report is meant to be comprehensive, explanatory and informative and to clarify the regulatory activity undertaken by ANACOM, providing information on its normative, decision-making, arbitration, inspection and investigation, sanctions, advisory, representation and radio spectrum management components.
The Report also analyses the communications sector in Portugal, including its recent evolution and covering both the telecommunications and postal sectors.
