Authorisation granting NOS Comunicações exemption from making contribution to the electronic communications universal service compensation fund in relation to CLSU 2018

By decision of 6 February 2020, ANACOM has granted authorisation to NOS Comunicações whereby the company is exempted from the requirement to deliver the value of the contribution which it is obliged to pay to the universal service compensation fund in respect of the CLSU - Custos Líquidos do Serviço Universal (Net Costs of Universal Service) in 2018. This authorisation is granted on the basis that the value of this contribution is exceeded by the amount of compensation which the company is entitled to receive as provider of the universal service of connection at a fixed location to the public telephone network and publicly available telephone services.
