5th meeting of the Ad Hoc Communication Group - March 2018

Brussels hosted last 15 March the fifth meeting of BEREC’s Ad Hoc Communication Group, chaired by Jonathan Duggan (Commission for Communications Regulation - ComReg, Ireland) and Stefan Teufel (Regulatory Authority for Broadcasting and Telecommunications - RTR, Austria) and attended by representatives of 13 national regulatory authorities (NRAs), among them ANACOM.

This group’s work was notably highlighted for the first time in the BEREC plenary meeting, explicitly mentioned in the point on “information from the chair”, with presentation of the video “BEREC focus in 2018:5G”.

It was considered important to achieve more involvement by group members in upcoming projects. As for the Stakeholders Forum (17 October 2018 in Brussels, organised by ComReg), the chair reported that besides the session on BEREC’s activity and priorities for 2019, the aim is to hold a session addressed to investment drivers, also covering the variables involved and the study on that subject to produce in 2019.

The BEREC Office called attention to problems affecting the BEREC website, identifying a large number of vulnerabilities that have to be dealt with.
