ANACOM participated, on 21 March 2018, in an initiative to demonstrate technological solutions for the detection and disabling of drones, organized by the National Civil Aviation Authority (Autoridade Nacional da Aviação Civil - ANAC), at Ponte de Sor Municipal Aerodrome.
This action focused on the monitoring of emissions associated with the operation of drones and the systems used in their detection and neutralisation. ANACOM's technical resources made it possible to observe and characterize the spectral behaviour of the systems being demonstrated and thus, with the support of the collected data, to assess the potential impact of using these systems in the operation of other radiocommunications services.
