Geneva hosted last 15-16 January the third meeting of the working group responsible for drawing up the Strategic and Financial Plans for 2020-2023 (of the ITU), chaired by the Brazilian Mário Canazza (ANATEL). Portugal occupies the vice-chair of this group.
The group analysed the contributions sent in by the members for this meeting, among them a contribution submitted and presented by Portugal, on behalf of Europe, which proposed the inclusion of a new inter-sector objective for the Union.
Based on those responses, the ITU Secretariat prepared a set of documents on which it aimed to launch the basis for preparing the Union’s Strategic and Financial Plans for the 2020-2023 period.
The group thus analysed the vision, mission and strategic aims of the ITU, as well as the Union’s contribution to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
