Notification to the European Commission on the wholesale market for call origination on the public telephone network provided at a fixed location

By determination of 19 October 2017, ANACOM has approved the draft final decision for notification to the European Commission (EC), the Body of European Regulators of Electronic Communications (BEREC) and the national regulatory authorities (NRA) of the other Member States of the European Union on the wholesale market for call origination on the public telephone network provided at a fixed location - definition of product markets and geographic markets, assessment of significant market power and imposition, maintenance, amendment or withdrawal of regulatory obligations.

Approval was likewise given to the report on the prior hearing and the consultation to which the respective draft decision was submitted (draft decision of 18 May 2017https://www.anacom.pt/render.jsp?contentId=1411108).  In response to these procedures, contributions were received from AR Telecom - Acessos e Rede de Telecomunicações, from MEO - Serviços de Comunicações e Multimédia, from NOWO Communications and ONITELECOM Infocomunicações (joint response) and from Vodafone Portugal - Comunicações Pessoais; an opinion was received from AdC - Autoridade da Concorrência (Competition Authority).
