The third meeting of the BEREC Contact Network and the Independent Regulators Group (IRG) took place last 14-15 September in Belgrade.
Discussion of the following documents stands out among the issues considered:
- “BEREC Medium-Term Strategy 2018-2020” and BEREC working programme for 2018;
- “BEREC Net Neutrality Regulatory Assessment Methodology”;
- “BEREC Report on the impact of content markets and devices on the fixed and mobile ECS market”;
- “BEREC Report on IP interconnection practices in the context of net neutrality”;
- “BEREC Report on the convergence of fixed and mobile networks”; and
- “Regulatory Accounting in Practice Report 2017”.
The current situation of the latest developments concerning revision of the regulatory framework for electronic communications was reported. Also considered were several administrative questions concerning how the BEREC Office functions.
At IRG level the debate focused basically on administrative questions, especially regarding the budget and accounts.
