The ERGP plenary meeting was held last 1 July in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The gathering served to discuss work carried out in the ERGP working groups (WGs): Cost Allocation/Price Regulation, Net Costs of USO, End Users/Market Monitoring, Parcels Delivery and Access. The proposed regulation on delivery of cross-border eCommerce parcels, approved by the European Commission (EC) last 25 May was also presented by the EC at the meeting. The calendar and form of preparing the ERGP’s work for the next several years were also decided.
The plenary meeting was preceded on 30 June by a workshop with stakeholders that discussed the ERGP’s strategy for 2017-2019. The workshop was attended by more than 110 participants, postal operators, organisations involved in postal activities and regulator representatives, who debated the ERGP’s strategy for coming years. The workshop’s results and the views presented by the stakeholders will serve as input to prepare the ERGP’s medium term strategy for 2017-2019.
