Comparisons of the prices of the providers of the universal postal service in the European Union in 2015

Study comparing the prices charged to residential customers of mail postage services and postal parcels included within the universal postal service, as provided by the universal service providers of the Member States of the European Union (EU) in 2015, and comparison of trends compared to 2014 and 2008.

The services included in this price comparison are:

• Priority national mail weighing up to 20 grams;
• Non-priority national mail weighing up to 20 grams;
• Priority cross-border mail, sent to addresses in the Member States of the EU, weighing up to 20 grams;
• National parcels, weighing up to 2 kilograms.

Taking purchasing power parity into consideration, the prices in Portugal in 2014 and in 2015 were below the EU average, except for the price of national parcels, which are above the European average.
