The expert working group on Net Neutrality met last 11-12 February at the BEREC/Independent Regulators Group secretariat in Brussels.
All members of this working group met on the first day (plenary meeting), while the second day was marked by the meeting of drafters of the guide envisaged in Regulation (EU) 2015/2120 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 25 November 2015, which establishes measures vis-à-vis open internet access.
The options and key aspects to include in that guide’s development were debated. They will be submitted for preliminary evaluation by the heads of national regulatory authorities at the next BEREC plenary meeting.
The guide will be placed in public consultation, most likely in June of this year, so that final approval can take place in August, as envisaged in the aforementioned regulation.
