Regulation approved for the issuance of inspector identity cards


By decision of 11 February 2016, ANACOM has approved the model for the identification cards which must be carried by ANACOM employees who perform monitoring functions and by the persons or staff of agents mandated to carry out or supervise inspections and audits. Approval was given, at the same time, to the conditions governing their issuance, to be applied internally.

Until now, the identity card model used has been that approved by Decree no. 126/2002 of 9 February, which will consequently be replaced.

It is recalled that ANACOM staff with a mandate to carry out monitoring tasks, when acting within the scope of their functions, shall be regarded as law enforcement authorities and shall enjoy the prerogatives specified in paragraph of article 44 of ANACOM's Statutes (as approved by Decree-Law no. 39/2015 of 16 March).
