Workshop - ''Study on substitutability between fixed broadband and mobile broadband''


On 15 March 2016, ANACOM is hosting a workshop on the "Study on substitutability between fixed broadband and mobile broadband"1. The workshop will be held at 2:45 pm, at the SANA Malhoa Hotel, in Lisbon.

The workshop will see presentation and discussion of the main findings of the study, which evaluated the complementary relationship and/or substitutability between fixed broadband and mobile broadband, from the perspective of broadband Internet access service providers operating in Portugal and also from the perspective end-users residing in Portugal.

The document sets out the explanatory factors which can provide understanding of the issue, with a review of relevant literature and an analysis of the characteristics of supply and demand, and of the impact of regulation on these characteristics.

The study was conducted for ANACOM by IMR - Instituto de Marketing Research (Marketing Research Institute).

Participation in the workshop is free but subject to prior registration (register by 11 March, using the registration form available on this website.
